Credit Flex is part of Senate Bill 311 and a statewide effort to increase learning and engagement and help students graduate ready for success in college and careers.
Credit flex provides new options for students to earn course credits including:
- Earning credit by demonstrating mastery of essential content for a traditional course by "testing out" or presenting a portfolio that demonstrates mastery or a combination of these
- Successfully completing an internship, mentorship, educational travel or service learning program aligned to academic curriculum
- Successfully completing an on-line course or academic summer or afterschool program aligned to LHS curriculum
- Successfully completing a hybrid learning experience that may combine any of the options above as well as units of traditional courses
