Lakewood Local School District is a Pre-K through 12th grade district supporting over 1,800 students in five schools – Lakewood Preschool, Lakewood Elementary School, Jackson Intermediate School, Lakewood Middle School, and Lakewood High School

Credit Flex is part of Senate Bill 311 and a statewide effort to increase learning and engagement and help students graduate ready for success in college and careers.

Credit flex provides new options for students to earn course credits including:

Earning credit by demonstrating mastery of essential content for a traditional course by "testing out" or presenting a portfolio that demonstrates mastery or a combination of these
Successfully completing an internship, mentorship, educational travel or service learning program aligned to academic curriculum
Successfully completing an on-line course or academic summer or afterschool program aligned to LHS curriculum
Successfully completing a hybrid learning experience that may combine any of the options above as well as units of traditional courses
