Principal's Message

Dear Lakewood Families and the Lakewood Community,

The first semester of school has ended and has proven to be quite outstanding! Our students are engaged in their academics and enjoying their opportunities to participate in various clubs, PBIS (positive behavior incentives), and after-school activities. End-of-Course exams and mid-terms took place this week.

Winter sports have started, and we enjoyed Christmas band and choir performances, the drama production, and the first-ever students versus staff “Family Feud” game show right before the break. In addition, the annual food drive to the Buckeye Lake Food Pantry was outstanding once again!

Seniors are ordering their announcements, and soon, their caps and gowns for graduation. They, along with our other upperclassmen, have been exploring their post-secondary options – whether that be college, trade school, or workforce – including working on applications, scholarships, and plans. Some of our senior athletes have signed letters of intent to continue their athletic careers at the college level and received scholarships to participate in college athletics. Underclassmen will be exploring possible electives and completing the scheduling process for next school year. Students will soon have the opportunity to begin registering for College Credit Plus courses. More information will be available in the upcoming months.

Many exciting things are going on at Lakewood High School and we are happy to share them with our families and the Lakewood community.
