Statewide Group Honors Phillips for Support of Local Schools
COLUMBUS — Tim Phillips recently received the Friend of Education Award from the Ohio School Boards Association (OSBA) Central Region.
Nominated for the award by the Lakewood Local Schools (Licking), Phillips was honored during the Ohio School Boards Association Central Region Fall Conference in Columbus on September 25. The region presents the Friend of Public Education Award to community members and organizations with a significant record of supporting public education.
In nominating Phillips, the Lakewood Board of Education wrote, in part: “Mr. Phillips generously donates his time and resources to our district. He believes in public education and in so doing commits to supporting our schools and students in everything he does.”
