Parents & Guardians,
The buds are starting to bloom, the weather is warming up and spring is in sight! Hopefully everyone had a restful break. We still have a lot of work to do before the end of the school year.
Parents we need your help. We really need our students to be at school on time and at school all day. Every minute counts and when students leave at three o’clock it not only interrupts the class, but they are missing ten minutes of class that adds up. We appreciate any help you can give us in this matter.
It takes a partnership at home and at school to get our students to where they need to be by the end of the year. There are a few things we could really use support on at home. We need our students working on their grade level sight words and reading every day. There are specific words that your child needs to know by the end of the school year, please work with them on these words and it also helps them with their reading. Also, make sure your child is reading at least twenty minutes a night.
Kindergarten and first grade parents, we also want our students to finish their grade level STMath. This is an online program that your child can work on at home. They should be doing it for at least 80 minutes a week, so please help us with this as well.
In your child’s report card, we sent a parent input form that will help us when determining classes for next year. Please take the time to fill this out and it is due back Wednesday April 17.
This summer, please check out our Hebron Website. We will have grade level activities that your child can do in the summer to support their learning. Also, we will have a summer reading incentive program, so be on the lookout for that information in May.
Important upcoming dates include:
- April 16 and 17- Kindergarten Screening @ Jackson Intermediate
- April 19 – No school for students
- May 16- 2nd grade Lego Expo
- May 17- 2nd grade Picnic and Musical
- May 23- Hebron FUN Day and last day of school.
We appreciate our amazing Hebron families. Thank you for all your support!
Mrs. Henry, Principal
