Lakewood Local Schools is a recipient of the State of Ohio Department of Education and Workforce’s Career Technical Education (CTE) Equipment Grant Program, which helps schools purchase up-to-date equipment so they can better prepare students to be career-ready upon graduation. Lakewood Schools received $530,916.01 and is one of 56 districts/schools receiving grants totaling more than $67.7 million.

Head Varsity Girls Basketball Coach
Lakewood High School (Hebron, OH) is seeking a new Head Varsity Girls Basketball Coach for the upcoming 20242025 school year.
Potential candidates should have, or be able to obtain, the following certifications: Pupil Activity Permit from ODE, CPR and First Aid certifications, and completed concussion training. The coach who is hired must also complete a background check with the school district prior to being approved by the board of education.
Former coaching experience at the high school level or higher is required, and time spent as a head coach is preferred. Candidates should seek to create a culture that fosters growth and success for our student-athletes, be willing to work with local youth leagues to aid in growing the sport in our area, and work with district employees to ensure that district and department goals are being worked toward.
Interested candidates should submit a letter of interest, resume and references to Athletic Director, Mat Bowen, at mbowen@lakewoodlocal.k12.oh.us.
